Prelims series A–D reorder the same questions. Merit at Prelims comes from Paper 1 only if GAT is cleared at 33%. About 1.34 lakh candidates sat Prelims against a small vacancy list that year — useful only as context, not as a cutoff predictor for 2026.

Each paper is 2 hours. Qualifying floor on GAT is 66 marks. If you are preparing for 2026, sit this paper twice: once as printed (no penalty), once scoring 3R − W. The second pass is the one that matches the new advertisement.

What to extract from MPPSC 2024
Prelims GS. Tag every item to History, Polity, Geography, Economy, Environment, Science, Current Affairs, or Madhya Pradesh. MP questions are the difference from a UPSC GS paper. Build a wrong-answer log even though 2024 had no −1 — that log is what 2026 marking will punish.
GAT. Do not treat 33% as automatic. Time the 2024 paper in 2 hours after you finish 2023 GAT.
Mains GS I. Part A history (India + MP dynasties, culture); Part B geography (India + MP water, disasters, GIS). Write both parts; skipping the MP half leaves 150 marks unpractised.
GS II. Polity and MP administration in Part A; sociology, tribes, rural/urban MP in Part B.
GS III. State and national economy in Part A; science, public health, environment in Part B.
GS IV. Ethics, case studies, public administration — closer to UPSC GS 4 in spirit, still with MP examples.
Paper 5 and 6. Hindi grammar/translation and essay plus government drafts. These 300 marks have no UPSC twin. Use 2024 as the current word-limit and draft-format replica; add 2023 for a second sitting.
